Since 2003 Sanchez Palmer Architects has been a partnership of design professionals who specialize in architecture, planning, and interior environments in the Washington, DC area. Formed with an honest commitment to the development of the practice of architecture we are dedicated to providing the best client service possible. Client relationships and a desire for design excellence at all levels form the goals of the studio and are reflected in the works we produce.

Romana J Sanchez is an architect with over 35 years of experience. A graduate of The University of New Mexico Romana has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Architecture. Romana opened her own studio in 1994 specializing in residential design, space planning, architectural interior design, and construction administration. In 2003 she and James Palmer formed Sanchez Palmer Architects, PC. From 2011 to 2020 Romana was Director of Construction for Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia overseeing the design and construction of single family homes that are sold to qualified homebuyers. A major aspect of the job was to direct volunteer labor to construct these homes. While at Habitat NOVA she was managing partner of the firm and is excited to be able to devote her talents full time to Sanchez Palmer Architects.
